The American Heart Association presents outpatient program achievement awards for proven dedication to ensuring patients have access to best practices that reduce risk of heart disease and stroke. 

Dignity Health Mercy Medical Group has received three American Heart Association outpatient program achievement awards in recognition for its commitment to reducing the risk of heart disease and stroke by improving high cholesterol, Type 2 diabetes and blood pressure management. The awards recognize a commitment to following the latest evidence-and science-based care guidelines.

The annual program is intended to recognize and celebrate clinical excellence throughout the Physician Enterprise, which includes our Dignity Health Medical Groups. We are proud to announce that 93 physicians from Dignity Health Mercy Medical Group, and 49 from Dignity Health Woodland Clinic have been voted SacTown Magazine’s Top Doctors in 2023. The “Top Docs” honor is an annual list of the area’s best doctors as voted by their peers.

Dignity Health Mercy Medical Group and Dignity Health Woodland Clinic have been awarded Elite Status from America's Physician Groups (APG), the nation's leading professional association for accountable physician groups. The medical groups are two of just 70 organizations nationally to achieve Elite Status (the highest recognition) in 2023.

Elite Status is earned through participation in APG's Standards of Excellence Survey, which evaluates the coordinated care infrastructure and value-based care performance of the organization’s physician group members.
